Our Done-In-A-Day (DIAD) format is for anyone who just can't add one more weekly commitment to their calendar. The "Can I" series has been designed based on the most commonly wrestled with questions we are asked here at bE. With 2 credentialed facilitators, you'll have a safe place to explore your questions and begin–or continue–considering how you view the world. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to engage with the tough topics, and to take another step toward solid ground as you heal from the abuse and betrayal you have suffered. Why sign up for the "Can I?" DIAD? If you're reading this, you've likely been told a lot of things about God, the Bible, Jesus...and now you might be questioning what was true and what wasn't. What does the rest of Christianity have to say, instead of your particular group or sect? What about history and science? You have questions that warrant an answer, so let's talk about them. There is overwhelming evidence for why Christians believe what they believe, and a particular pastor is not required to find this evidence. The "Can I?" series provides a way to connect with others who are similarly struggling and want a better understanding of the faith–not just simply being told to believe, but why? What is included with the "Can I?" DIAD: A 10 hour, 1-Day group session with access to two credentialed facilitators. Share pieces of your story–if you choose, process through what you've previously been told, and learn tools to help you move forward. Have time for questions and relationship-building, eat lunch together virtually, if you like, and take breaks as-needed. Topics include: - Can I trust God? - Can I trust that Jesus is God? - Can I trust the Bible? - Can I do whatever I want now? - Can I forgive and be forgiven? - Can I go this whole-Christian thing alone? - Can I live in the present? Who is the "Can I?" DIAD for? "Can I?" is for anyone who has experienced religious abuse. This includes, but is not limited to: -Someone who has been in a cult -Someone who has been in a high-control group -Someone who has been verbally, emotionally, or physically abused in the name of religion -Someone who has been sexually abused in the name of religion -Someone who has been shamed or rejected because of their religious beliefs -Someone who is struggling with their faith after a trauma If any of these resonate with you, we'd love to see you on November 19!
