Everyone deserves a safe space to heal and grow.

At beEmboldened, we know that healing from harmful religious experiences is not a quick fix—it’s a journey. Whether someone is just beginning to question what they were taught or is years into recovery, every step matters. And no one should have to take those steps alone.

That’s where you come in.

Your generosity makes it possible for people to access personalized support, education, and resources rooted in truth and compassion. By giving to beEmboldened, you become part of every story of courage, restoration, and freedom.

Whether you're able to give once, monthly, or through a legacy gift, every contribution moves this mission forward.

Breaking My Silence and Finding Purpose

"I know this betrayal firsthand. As a child, I lived in fear - of my father, of his abuse, of what I had been told about God, of having nowhere safe to turn for help or for truth. In my 20s, I finally understood the full truth: I had grown up in a polygamous, apocalyptic, doomsday cult.

I carried so many secrets within me, having been taught that keeping them was necessary to protect my family and honor God. The weight of those secrets was crushing, and the taste of freedom seemed like a distant dream I couldn't even imagine.
The journey toward healing felt impossible at first - I was trapped between continuing to live in fear or risking everything I'd ever known, including my own sense of reality. But step by step, I found my way forward.

Through my own healing journey, I discovered a profound truth: my suffering could serve a greater purpose. Today, I lead beEmboldened with a singular mission - to ensure no one else walks this path alone, as I did. Every survivor deserves to find their way back to trust, hope, and authentic faith."

You can make this possible for more people:

"As a survivor of spiritual abuse, I know firsthand the deep pain of having faith used as a tool for exploitation. I invest in beEmboldened because they offer what I needed on my own journey - a way to untangle truth from lies, find healing through trauma-informed support, and rediscover authentic faith."

Our Vision for 2026

Eliminate our waitlist so no individual is on hold for their preferred service.

Hire a Director of Mentoring Services to continue providing quality mentoring, as well as onboard, train, and equip a growing team of mentors. As demand for one-on-one support grows, we need dedicated leadership to ensure every survivor receives the highest quality care from the most qualified team members.

Streamline and simplify our website so we are clearly communicating who we are, what we offer, and how we're offering it to survivors and their loved ones. When someone is in crisis and searching for help, every click matters. We want to make it as easy as possible for survivors to find the support they desperately need.

Build out two new digital courses to grow our collective of digital course resources that serve people across the globe. Not everyone can afford mentoring or attend conferences, but they need access to healing resources. These programs remove barriers of exchange rates and time zones.

Cover startup costs for the Living Out Freedom Getaway (the new name for our 'conference'), including reserving the venue and confirming the presenters. After our first conference, we received strong feedback that survivors want another opportunity to gather—and we're ready to create something even more impactful.
