Do the holidays this year feel more like a series of hurdles to get through than a time of festivity and celebration? For many of us, the holidays can stir up complicated emotions. Traditions that once brought comfort may now carry grief. Relationships may have changed. Beliefs may have shifted. And the expectation to feel joyful can make an already difficult season feel even heavier. What if you could give yourself permission to experience the holidays differently this year? 🎨 Join us for Blue Holidays, a gentle, creative gathering led by artist and art educator Susanna Nolt, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Naomi Wright Using clay or playdough, we'll explore the traditions, memories, and expectations we carry into the holiday season—and consider what we might want to keep, change, release, or reimagine. Perhaps there's a tradition you still treasure. Perhaps there's one you're ready to let go of. Or perhaps you're beginning to imagine something entirely new. There is room for all of it. 💬 A Word from Susanna “I’ve known what it’s like for the holidays to feel more blue than bright. I know how deeply we can feel the empty spaces during a season built around togetherness. This session honors what was and gently reimagines what might become.” ✨ What to Expect A welcoming, guided creative experience Space to acknowledge complicated holiday emotions without pressure to explain or share An opportunity to explore traditions and imagine new possibilities Freedom to participate at your own pace No prior art experience is required. Your creation doesn't need to look a certain way, and you don't need to arrive with answers. What You'll Need Assorted colors of clay or playdough Cardboard or cardstock as a base A comfortable work surface Optional: clay tools, household shaping tools, and small embellishments You don't need to purchase elaborate supplies. Please feel comfortable using what you have available. 💙 You're Invited You do not have to pretend the holidays are easy. This is an opportunity to acknowledge where you are and begin creating something new from there.
